There are just two weeks left until Idul Fitri. Some might have received or sent Ramadhan gifts.

However, those who have yet to find a gift, fret not, as The Jakarta Post has compiled two sweet treats that make the perfect Ramadhan gifts.

DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro

DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta-Diponegoro is a contemporary hotel located in Central Jakarta. The hotel’s loyal patrons may have sampled its signature walnut chocolate chip cookie, which is normally given to guests during check-in.

The hotel’s junior sous pastry chef, Marinah, said the cookie was also available for takeaway. Nicely and neatly packaged, the tin consists of seven cookies, making it a practical and stylish gift for your business colleagues or neighbors.

Those looking for a classic sweet treat may want to consider roll cakes from the Grand Hyatt Jakarta hotel in Central Jakarta.

Available in six flavors, namely es doger, durian, es teler, Aceh gayo coffee, Glenmore chocolate passion and pandan, the cakes are made fresh daily using local ingredients, such as durian from Medan, North Sumatra.

The hotel’s executive pastry chef, Woro Prabandari, said some of the cakes had also been created using a glaze technique, resulting in a pretty mirror-like exterior.

“[The technique] makes the roll cakes look more special,” said Woro.
