Actor Zachary Levi graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly in its Comic-Con issue.

In the magazine, Levi tells what fans can expect from his role as DC Comics superhero Shazam, reports CNET

Clad in a red-and-white costume and blowing gum, Levi portrays his alter-ego character Billy Batson, a 14-year-old boy who can transform into a grown-up superhero just by saying the word “shazam”.

Not much is known regarding the specifics of the film, but Levi states that Billy is one of the few superheroes that is actually happy about having superpowers.

“Billy Batson is like Peter Parker, they’re thrilled to have these powers and can’t wait to try them out,” Levi said.

The film is scheduled for release on April 2019, with trailers and sneak-peeks possibly coming during Warner Bros’ presentation at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con International. (anm/wng)
