et ready to party as this year Southeast Asia is chockablock with some of the music world’s biggest parties. From Bali and Jakarta to Singapore, here are some of the most-awaited parties and festivals that you should not miss.

We The Fest 2016

There is a good reason why this festival has been the most-talked-about party in Jakarta over the past few months. First, it’s a star-studded event, bringing the biggest lineup to the stage. In its third year, the festival is set to present 2014 Grammy winner Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, internationally acclaimed musician Mark Ronson who produced Adele’s first album and Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, and English alternative rock band The 1975. Curious? Listen to some of the bands here to warm up.

When: August 13-14

Where: Parkir Timur Senayan, Central Jakarta

Starting price: Rp 520,000 (US$40) for entry before 3 p.m. or Rp 1,000,000 for VIP.

Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival

Let’s go to Bali, cause it’s time to party by the beach. Taking place at one of the island's biggest beach clubs and party-centric Potato Head Bali, Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival is undoubtedly one of the most awaited parties in Bali. Join Mark Ronson, Disclosure, Breakbot, and groove up with Ta-Ku (Live), Sam Feldt and Blonde from 2 p.m. all the way until midnight.

When: August 13-14

Where: Potato Head Beach Club, Seminyak, Bali

Starting price: Rp 900,000 for a 2-day pass; Rp 1,200,000 for a 1-day pre-sale ticket

Ku De Ta White Party Midsummer Night Dream 2016

You need to come in costume to attend this party. In particular, garb that fits with this year’s theme of enchanted lovers, fairy kings and queens. You can also wear something in the vein of forest elves and mischievous pixies. Whatever you wear, be sure not to miss French house DJ and producer Sébastien Léger, Dutch DJ and saxophonist Lucien Foort, Dayne S and the many more great acts on the bill.

When: August 20 (from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.)

Where: Ku De Ta, Seminyak, Bali

Starting price: Rp 1,100,000 for general admission; Rp 2,000,000 including a five-course dinner

ULTRA Singapore

You simply shouldn’t miss this, not only because the lineup is awesome, but also because the party is spectacular. ULTRA Singapore is mind-blowing; no wonder thousands of people from all across Southeast Asia are willing to fly to this tiny country to join the party. Meet one of the world’s top DJs Afrojack, Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Toronto's progressive house music producer and performer deadmau5, Kygo, DJ Snake and Nero Live and rock the venue with them.

When: September 10-11

Venue: Ultra Park, 1 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore

Starting price: $135 for 2-day general admission; $160 for premium general admission

Djakarta Warehouse Project 2016

It's been eight years, but this party is still a highlight of the Jakarta party calendar. Though it will rock the city in December, people have already started talking about it. Most of them probably can’t wait to see Holland’s biggest electro-house DJ Hardwell, the third-biggest Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, and Grammy Award-winning producer DJ Zedd. (kes)
