new era is coming. In addition to the presidential and legislative elections, the country has targeted achieving universal health coverage to protect the entire population by the end of 2019.

Since the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) came into force in 2014, health deficits have dominated discussions. 

However, another urgent issue is personal data protection of BPJS Kesehatan members, which reached 215 million people by New Year’s Day.

Population data is linked to the BPJS Kesehatan membership database to improve registration, eligibility checking and claims. Supported by its cloud-based system and the internet, members can easily register for primary or secondary healthcare services by showing their e-ID.
