W

hile natural disasters in various regions have affected many families recently, the challenges can be overcome with togetherness.

This has prompted PT Heinz ABC Indonesia (Heinz ABC), under its ABC brand, which has been loved by Indonesian families since 1975, to launch the ABC Berbagi Kebersamaan (Sharing Togetherness) Ramadan initiative.

Under the program, Heinz ABC Indonesia provided aid to 110,000 families across Indonesia.

"Ramadan is the ideal time for us to share, particularly with natural disaster-affected Indonesian families. Through the ABC Berbagi Kebersamaan Ramadan initiative, which began on April 1, we were able to collect donations for the affected 110,000 Indonesian families,” said Steven Debrabandere, president director of PT Heinz ABC Indonesia.

He went on to say that the donations, given in the form of ABC food and beverages products, were distributed by Foodbank of Indonesia in 15 locations throughout Java - Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Karawang, Sumedang, Pandeglang, Yogyakarta, Lumajang, Probolinggo, Surabaya, Pasuruan, Jombang and Malang.

The social movement, ABC Berbagi Kebersamaan Ramadan was carried out with the assistance of the community members who had purchased ABC products at minimarkets, Alfamart and Alfamidi.

Under the program, every purchase of an ABC product meant that customers had contributed Rp1,000 to help the affected Indonesian families.

"As a market leader in the food industry, ABC would like to express its gratitude to the partners who contributed to the ABC Berbagi Kebersamaan Ramadan movement, namely Alfamart, Alfamidi and the Foodbank of Indonesia. Of course, we also want to express our gratitude to the Indonesian people for their assistance in assembling 110,000 packages for the natural disaster-affected Indonesian families. We hope that with this package, families impacted by natural disasters will be able to enjoy Ramadan in comfort and celebrate Idul Fitri with joy,” Debrabandere remarked.
