ommemorating Indonesia’s Youth Pledge Day on Oct. 28, Telkomsel reiterated its commitment to the noble values of diversity and of Pancasila, which upholds justice, mutual cooperation, caring, innovation and sustainability across Indonesia, through its “Telkomsel, The Spirit of Indonesia” campaign initiative. Meant as a way to solidify Telkomsel’s continued goal of contributing to Indonesia’s growth, Telkomsel’s president director, Hendri Mulya Syam, explained the campaign.

"The spirit of Indonesia always inspires the spirit that Telkomsel itself carries. Our spirit is committed to continually connecting people through equitable distribution of the latest digital connectivity technology, creating breakthroughs through innovations and the implementation of renewable technologies, driving progress through the utilization of all company assets and capabilities, sharing hope through our inclusive corporate social responsibility initiatives, and collectively caring for the Earth through sustainable business initiatives that preserve the environment for the future generations. 'Telkomsel, the Spirit of Indonesia' is more than just a manifesto; it is also a concrete step in Telkomsel's commitment to consistently contributing to Indonesia by empowering communities throughout the country, leaving a positive impact across every phase of life," Hendri said.

Telkomsel’s Spirit that Connects People, is materialized through its ongoing effort of accelerating equitable and equal digital connectivity throughout the Indonesian archipelago. By building more than 3,000 4G/LTE networks in 504 cities/regencies, constructing over 220 Merah Putih BTS sites in geographically challenging sites, and expanding its 5G network through the deployment of around 470 5G BTS units across 48 cities in Indonesia, Telkomsel has achieved mobile broadband customer payload traffic of over 8.7 million TB, generating growth of 9.4 percent. As of now, there are more than 228,000 4G/LTE and 5G BTS units that serve approximately 97 percent of the Indonesian populace, dominating around 65 percent of the total payload broadband users across the nation.

The Spirit to Innovate is another cornerstone of Telkomsel's ethos, exemplified by its achievement of implementing the most extensive fixed mobile convergence (FMC) initiative in Indonesia, successfully integrating IndiHome services into the Telkomsel business ecosystem within three months. Additionally, Telkomsel has swiftly launched the Telkomsel One product as a continuation of the FMC initiative, delivering seamless broadband services in just one month of integrating IndiHome into its businesses.

Moreover, to further bolster its digital platform capabilities, Telkomsel has updated its MyTelkomsel app with technological UI/UX enhancements and engaging gamified features to create a user-friendly, one-stop digital solution for its customers. The company has also integrated its virtual customer assistance service, Veronika, with technology from Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, enhancing the customer service experience by offering personalized support.

As for its Spirit that Drives Progress, Telkomsel is committed to nurturing Indonesia’s national growth and fortifying its digital ecosystem. This mission is furthered through initiatives such as the establishment of INDICO, a subsidiary in the digital sector that oversees various subsidiaries within Telkomsel's emerging vertical business portfolio. These subsidiaries span diverse sectors like health-tech, edu-tech, gaming and the agriculture sector. Telkomsel is also fostering a network of digital-innovation solutions through its Telkomsel Corporate Accelerator (Tinc) program. It is also worth noting that through its subsidiary, Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi (TMI), the company actively participates in venture capital endeavors, providing essential funding and support to local start-ups.
