In a statement issued on Thursday, the Germany-based company said it had “fully cooperated” with investigating authorities in the US and South Africa, adding that it had “separated from all responsible people, including in Indonesia, more than five years ago.”

The announcement adds: “SAP has zero tolerance for non-compliance and remains committed to working with customers and partners to focus our innovation, expertise and resources to help transform businesses and to continue to help drive innovation and prosperity in Indonesia and across all geographies in which SAP operates.”
On Jan. 10, the US Department of Justice said SAP owed more than US$220 million to settle investigations into possible Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations by the DOJ and the SEC.
The DOJ statement said SAP's agreement with the department came from schemes to pay South African and Indonesian government officials bribes. The resolution from the department is coordinated with South African prosecutors as well as the SEC.
