Garuda aims to increase its fleet in 2025 to expand its network and improve passenger service, newly appointed president director Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan said.
he newly appointed president director of state-owned flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, revealed on Thursday that he held an important meeting with representatives from European aircraft maker Airbus in a plan to purchase more aircraft.
Wamildan revealed the meeting on his personal Instagram account @wamildan.tsani.
“I had an important meeting with Airbus to discuss the plan to add new aircraft to the fleet,” he said.
“This step is aimed at strengthening operations and ensuring that our services are more reliable in the future.”
Wamildan added that he had asked Airbus to conduct a special training program for the airline.
“With this training, we want to ensure that all personnel are ready to face the latest technology and able to operate the fleet to the highest standard,” he said on his personal Instagram.
“This cooperation is part of our commitment to keep innovating and providing the best service.”
