Sore Band confirmed the death on Tuesday in an Instagram post.
inger, guitarist and producer of Sore Band Firza Achmar Paloh, popularly known as Ade Paloh, known for his masterful chamber pop music that a gained huge following in the early aughts, died on Tuesday morning in Jakarta at the age of 47, fellow band members and close friends have confirmed.
The management of Sore Band confirmed Ade's passing early on Tuesday in an Instagram post.
“The big family of Sore Ze Band expresses its condolences on the passing Firza Achmar Paloh. You will live a thousand more years in our hearts,” the band wrote. “We ask for sincere prayers from all our friends.”
One of Ade’s close friends, music journalist Wendi Putranto, said the Sore front man had been suffering from an unspecified illness in his last days and was rushed to a hospital in East Jakarta on Tuesday morning but was pronounced dead on the way to the facility.
Ade's family held the burial at the Pondok Ranggon public cemetery in East Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon.
Born into a prominent political family in Medan, North Sumatra, on Mar. 29, 1976, Ade relocated to Jakarta in his early childhood. He met fellow musicians Ramondo “Mondo” Gascaro and Awan Garnida while attending the prestigious Perguruan Cikini elementary school in the early 1980s. After studying abroad in the United States, the three reunited in 2002 to form the band Sore and were later joined by drummer Bemby Gusti and guitarist Reza Dwiputranto.
