T

he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has slapped a travel ban through the Immigration Directorate General on two persons in relation to an investigation into an alleged graft in the flag carrier Garuda Indonesia procurement of Airbus aircrafts between 2010 and 2015.

The KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri said that the travel ban has been imposed on two persons since August and will be in place for at least six months.

“This travel ban can be extended according to the need for the investigation of the case,” Ali said in a statement on Wednesday.

However, when asked about the identities of the persons slapped with the travel ban, Ali only mentioned their initials “CTW” and “ABS,” declining to disclose their full name.

Ali said that the KPK expected the two persons slapped with the travel ban would cooperate if the KPK investigators summoned them.

Meanwhile, Achmad Nur Saleh, the Immigration Directorate General public relations subcoordinator confirmed that Chandra Tirta Wijaya – former member of the House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party (PAN) serving between 2009 and 2014 – had been barred from going abroad.
