The Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) will promote the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games (AWBG) 2023 at the Group of 20 Summit and meetings in Bali.

KOI chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari said that the KOI will open booths at several G20 meeting places, such as at the G20 Sherpa meeting located at Intercontinental Jimbaran Bali and the arrival and departure gates of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

“We want to maximize the dissemination [of information] about World Beach Games 2023 during the G20. Indonesia will become the host of the second edition of AWBG next year in Bali,” Raja said at a press conference as quoted by Antara.

He added that the promotion activities are also carried out as a way to promote that Bali has been reopened for foreign tourists and can host international sports events again.

Raja said the G20 meetings provide an opportunity to meet with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach, who is scheduled to give a speech at one of the G20 events held ahead of the G20 Summit.

“There is also FIFA President Gianni Infantino who will be involved and participate in the G20," he said.
