Prabowo planning to meet Yudhoyono soon
Member of Gerindra central board Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said the planned meeting would be a get-together to celebrate the Idul Fitri holiday and that no date had been set for the event.

Chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto is expected to meet with former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who is also the chief patron of the opposition Democratic Party.
Gerindra central board member Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said the planned meeting would be a get-together to celebrate the Idul Fitri holiday and that no date had been set for the event.
"Yes, Pak Prabowo is planning to hold this meeting with Pak SBY to celebrate Idul Fitri," said Sufmi, as quoted by Antara on Thursday.
Sufmi also declined to confirm if politics was on the agenda of the meeting or if Prabowo would make a proposal to the former president to join a coalition that would nominate the defense minister for the 2024 presidential race.
Gerindra has struck a deal with the Muslim-based National Awakening Party (PKB) to back Prabowo's nomination in 2024.
The PKB has announced earlier this week that it had endorsed Prabowo's 2024 presidential bid.
A number of leaders of political parties in President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's ruling coalition including Golkar Party chairman Airlangga Hartarto and the PKB's Muhaimin Iskandar have held meetings with Democratic Party leadership in an attempt to cajole the party into supporting presidential candidates backed by the incumbent government.
