he Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has summoned Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo for questioning as a witness in its ongoing investigation into the graft-ridden 4G base transceiver station (BTS) telephony project.
Febrie Adriansyah, an investigator at the office of the assistant attorney general for extraordinary crimes (Jampidsus), said on Sunday that his office had sent a subpoena for Dito to be present for questioning at its headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday.
Dito said he would show up around noon.
The 4G telephony project, which falls under the auspices of former communications and information minister Johny G. Plate, is thought to have cost the state some Rp 8 trillion (US$533 million) in losses and has resulted in Johnny's removal from the Cabinet.

While the AGO has brought Johnny before the Jakarta Corruption Court for alleged corruption, it is still looking at possible money laundering in the BTS corruption case as speculation continues to swirl around the involvement of even more perpetrators.
Johnny is currently standing trial for allegedly pocketing some Rp 17.8 billion in kickbacks from the inflated procurement of BTS towers, including in the form of golf outings and junkets to Paris, London and Barcelona from vendors in the project.
