The Health Ministry’s digital office will introduce a points system on SatuSehat app, rewarding physical activity with free meds to promote preventive health care.
he Health Ministry’s Digital Transformation Office (DTO) chief Setiaji revealed on Monday plans to introduce a points system within the SatuSehat app.
This new feature will give users the opportunity to access free medicines or multivitamins.
Under the proposed system, users can accumulate points based on their physical activity, with rewards becoming available when certain milestones are reached.
“We will later prepare points, for example, if you walk 5,000 steps, we will give you points that can be exchanged for medicine, multivitamins and you can even watch movies for free,” Setiaji said on Monday.
He hopes that this system will encourage people to adopt a preventive approach to health care, promoting healthier lifestyles and shifting the focus from treatment to prevention.
The rollout of this points system is currently in the planning phase, with a targeted launch date set for next year.
According to Setiaji, the Health Ministry is actively exploring potential partnerships with pharmacies, banks, private companies and other interested parties to support the development of the SatuSehat app.
