IHSG rose by 0.35 percent to 6,862.05, driven by gains in 10 of 11 sectors, including transportation and health.
he Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Composite (IHSG) concluded Tuesday's trading on a positive note, gaining 0.35 percent or 23.74 points to 6,862.05.
The IHSG mainly stayed in the green zone throughout the day, moving between 6,829 and 6,886.
The bullish trend in the IHSG was driven by the strong performance of 10 out of 11 listed sectors. Leading the upward charge was the transportation sector, surging by 1.36 percent, followed by the health sector with a 1.21 percent rise, the technology sector by 0.65 percent and the energy sector by 0.61 percent.
The sole sector witnessing a decline was the primary consumer goods sector, with a slight 0.15 percent dip.
The trading session saw a solid trading volume of 17.21 billion shares, totaling Rp 6.79 trillion (US$435.36 million). There were 285 gainers, 233 losers and 234 stocks trading sideways during the session.
Among the top gainers in LQ45 were PT Bank Jago (ARTO), rising by 5.13 percent, PT Essa Industries Indonesia (ESSA), climbing by 4.07 percent and PT Merdeka Copper Gold (MDKA), gaining 3.98 percent.
Meanwhile, the top losers in LQ45 were PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTK), sliding by 2.70 percent, PT Charoen Pokphand (CPIN), decreasing by 2.23 percent and PT Sarana Menara Nusantara (TOWR), dropping by 2.11 percent.
