Muhaimin Iskandar voiced concerns regarding purported attempts to hinder his and Anies Baswedan's campaign, saying it was difficult for the team to secure campaign venues.
Vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar alleged that certain parties had intended to obstruct the reform platform he and presidential candidate Anies Baswedan have been promoting, saying that his campaign team encountered difficulties in securing venues for rallies.
Speaking at a campaign rally at Gunung Sari Islamic Boarding School in Proppo district, Pamekasan regency, East Java, on Wednesday, Muhaimin expressed concerns over the challenges faced in securing campaign venues, particularly in East Java, where the candidate pair was planning to hold a rally on Feb. 9.
"I heard that there are those who want to hinder change, want to hinder [our] campaign. Finding campaign venues is becoming difficult," he said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Muhaimin urged his supporters not to succumb to political pressure in the lead-up to the Feb. 14 general election. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum for change.
"Insya Allah [God willing], the tide of change cannot be halted. Insya Allah, change will manifest and be tangible among the Indonesian people," he asserted.
