igher Education, Science and Technology Minister Satryo Brodjonegoro has asked Airlangga University (Unair) in Surabaya, East Java, to revoke the suspension of one of its student executive bodies (BEM) for criticizing President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Satryo said on Monday that he had contacted Unair’s rector Mohammad Nasih to quickly resolve the situation at the university’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP), saying that the students' criticism fell within the bounds of freedom of expression.

"I informed the rector of Unair last night to cancel the suspension of BEM FISIP Unair, and he expressed his readiness to do so," Satryo said in Jakarta as quoted by kompas.id.
