man in Lampung Barat regency, Lampung, was found dead on Aug. 8 after reportedly being mauled by a tiger while working on his farm inside South Bukit Barisan National Park (TNBBS).
The victim was identified as Ujang Syamsuddin, 37, from Pekon Sinar Harapan in Bandar Negeri Suoh district, West Lampung regency.
TNBSS head Hifzon Zawahiri said the victim’s family reported him missing in the evening.
“The initial information we received from locals was that the victim did not return home from his farm in the afternoon,” Hifzon said on Aug. 8, as quoted by Kompas.id.
“The family, who were concerned about his safety, then conducted a search with other villagers.”
Initially, the villagers found Ujang’s motorcycle and hat near his farm. They also found blood-stained clothes. The victim’s body was located in bushes, some 250 meters from the farm.
