The four universities are Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Veteran National Development University (UPN).
Deputy Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Yuliot Tanjung said researchers from the universities could maximize the availability of technology, tools and facilities at the Geological Agency.
“Research in those universities can be delivered, the question is how to bring them to the industry,”
Yuliot said after opening the Colloquium and Dissemination of Earth Information at the agency in Bandung on Wednesday.
This cooperation, he added, was not related to mining or exploration licenses.
“This is cooperation based on geological research,” he said.
