etectives from Medan Police in North Sumatra investigating the stabbing to death of a woman, allegedly by her own 12-year-old daughter, conducted a preliminary reenactment on Sunday.
Medan Police chief Sr. Comr. Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak said detectives were still waiting for the results of a psychological assessment of the girl, who has not yet been named a suspect. Other than psychologists, the investigation also includes staff from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and other relevant teams.
“Hopefully, the detectives can receive the assessment results this week,” he said on Monday.
“We are waiting for the assessment results, so the entire process is clear.”

Calvijan said detectives had conducted the preliminary reenactment, consisting of 43 scenes, to provide clarity in the case.
The preliminary reenactment on Sunday involved the alleged perpetrator, her father and her older sister at the victim’s house on Jl. Dwikora, Tanjung Rejo subdistrict, Medan Sunggal district, Medan. Previously, the police had conducted another preliminary reenactment using actors as stand-ins.
