T

he governments of Norway and Indonesia launched the fourth period of the Community Environmental Fund Service Small Grant during a meeting between Forestry Minster Raja Juli Antoni and Norwegian International Development Minister Asmund Aukrust in Jakarta on Thursday.

Raja Juli said that the small grant was a funding scheme to support Indonesia’s Forestry and Other Land Use (FOLU) Net sink 2030 target, which is supported by Norwegian and Indonesian cooperation through results-based contribution.

“Climate change challenges are real and global warming is real,” he said.

“There is limited time for mitigation so cooperation like this must be kept strengthened.”

Meanwhile, Aukrust appreciated Indonesia’s commitment in involving the public in climate actions.

“Climate change is a global crisis we are facing, there is no country which can solve it alone,” he said.
