he Badung Police in Bali have arrested two French nationals and an Italian on allegations of producing and distributing pornographic videos.
The suspects were identified as MMJL, a 23-year-old French woman and adult content creator, ERB, a 26-year-old French man who manages her work and NBS, a 24-year-old Italian citizen.
According to Badung Police Chief Sr. Adj. Comr. Joseph Edward Purba, the arrests took place between Saturday and Monday in separate locations.
“MMJL and ERB were apprehended at Ngurah Rai International Airport while attempting to flee to Thailand, while NBS was arrested at a villa in Canggu, North Kuta, on Monday,” Joseph said on Tuesday as quoted by Tirto.id.
The trio are being held on suspicion of seeking to “profit from pornographic videos and content,” Joseph added.
Edward said the investigation began after a pornographic video, featuring a woman believed to be MMJL and a masked man wearing an ojek (motorcycle taxi) uniform, went viral on social media.
Authorities then summoned a local motorcycle taxi driver and social media influencer, identified as MR, who was widely suspected to be the man in the video because of his appearances on MMJL’s Instagram account.
