View all search resultsBS World announced on Monday that it would halt its service for Indonesian pay TV provider Indovision. Channel 353 on Indovision has evidently now stopped broadcasting, and the KBS page on the Indovision website appears to be inactive.
The South Korean public service broadcaster announced the news via its official Twitter account.
“KBS World channel announces a special notice for stopping of channel service through Indovision because of the expiration of Channel Distribution Agreement as of July 31, 2016. Both parties have conducted the renewal negotiation since last May, but have not reached a conclusion yet. KBS World will promptly provide you further notices for any changes or the final result of renewal deal as soon as they become available. Thanks for your understanding in the meantime.”

Although there has yet to be an official announcement from Indovision on social media, Indovision’s head of programming, Novy Fadillah, confirmed KBS’ statement.
“We have dropped the channel. As for when it’s coming back, we still don’t know,” she told The Jakarta Post via telephone on Monday. “The negotiations are still ongoing.”
