s announced in October, Twitter has officially shut down the six-second video platform Vine on Wednesday local time. The platform is being revived as a recording app on Twitter called Vine Camera.
Although the Vine app is still available at both the Google Play Store and Apple App store, it is downloadable as Vine Camera. Business Insider reports that the six-second videos can still be recorded, yet only can be uploaded to Twitter.

According to kompas.com, the 140-character platform is making changes as to how videos are being posted: the duration of each video settles between 0 to 6.5 seconds, and similar to how Vine presents its clips, it will automatically play on loop every time it is viewed.
Users can save their Vine videos before the app becomes Vine Camera, until Wednesday in the United States. It can be done by visiting the Vine site, clicking the Download Your Vines bar at the top of the screen, and logging into an account afterward. Aside from downloading them, the uploaded clips can all be viewed via the Vine site. (mra/kes)
