he Indonesian movies Labuan Hati (Where The Heart Lies) and Gending Sriwijaya (Sriwijaya Melody) by directors Lola Amaria and Hanung Bramantyo, respectively, were screened during the opening day of Indonesian Movie Week (IMW) in Croatia on Sunday.

"I'm very happy that my film received such high appreciation, especially since ‘Labuan Hati’ features the beauty of Labuan Bajo, thus it can help promote Indonesian tourism," said Lola, who attended the event, as quoted by tempo.co.

Lola's other film, Tiga Titik (Three Dots), was also screened at the event.

Inaugurated by Indonesian Ambassador to Croatia, H. Sjachroedin Zainal Pagaralam, IMW was held in Zagreb on June 3-4, as well as Split on June 5-7. In addition to film screenings, the event also hosted workshops and discussions between Indonesian and Croatian filmmakers.

"I'm pleased that the anniversary of the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Croatia has been marked by the screening of Indonesian films in Indonesian Movie Week as a cultural exchange," said Sjachroedin.

In addition to Lola, other Indonesian filmmakers attending the event included Slamet Rahardjo Djarot, Harry Dagoe Suharyadi and Dhoni Ramadhan. (kes)
