fter featuring king of ‘dangdut’ Rhoma Irama in 2016, multi-genre music event Synchronize Festival is set to feature legend of Indonesian pop music Ebiet G. Ade this year. The second installation of Synchronize Festival will be held for three days from Oct. 6 to 8 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The singer of Titip Rindu Buat Ayah (Send My Longing to Father) and Berita Kepada Kawan (News for a Friend) will share the stage alongside a host of other talented musicians including Naif, Koil, Barasuara, Gugun Blues Shelter, Indische Party, Jogja Hip Hop Foundation, Monkey to Millionaire, Payung Teduh and Pee Wee Gaskins, with further acts to be announced.

“For our second year, we’re maintaining the spirit of our first event [which consisted of musicians from] across generations and genres,” said festival director David Karto to kompas.com.

Meanwhile, the technical director of the festival Muhammad Riza added, “We don’t want this music festival to be limited to a certain age group. We want to welcome children up to grandparents.”

Synchronize Festival is an annual event that celebrates a diversity of music genres and presents hundreds of curated performances from local artists. It also provides other experiences for its audiences, such as an Outdoor Cinema, Art & Merch Market, Records Fair and FGB Festival.

Those interested in attending the event can purchase tickets online with prices starting from Rp 135,000. An early bird promo will also run until June 21. (wir/asw)
