hinese telecommunication giant Huawei has appointed actress Gal Gadot, known for her lead role in Wonder Woman, as the company’s so-called chief experience officer.
Gadot will “help shape the company’s brand experiences and play an active role in listening to and providing ongoing ideas to inform how Huawei will bring the best experiences to its consumers,” the company said in a statement.
No further explanation was given by Huawei regarding the role, but media outlets like CNET suggested that Gadot was basically appointed as the firm's brand ambassador for the US market.

Gadot herself provided a statement on Huawei’s website: “Partnering with an innovative brand like Huawei is incredibly exciting to me, and I look forward to playing an integral part of the company’s growth in the year ahead." She added that she would be participating in the company's event to launch the Mate 10 Pro in the US in February.
Reports suggested the appointment was a move to help Huawei penetrate the US market following its failure to partner with US telecom giant AT&T.
The Israeli actress has generated a huge buzz across the globe following her role as superhero Wonder Woman. She was recognized at the National Board of Review Award 2017 with the Spotlight Award alongside the flick's director, Patty Jenkins. (wir/kes)
