oundrenaline music festival has confirmed that Limp Bizkit will headline its show, alongside local acts such as Naif and Sheila on 7.

The festival will be held on September 8 and 9 at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Bali.

Limp Bizkit achieved commercial success in the late 1990s by popularizing the rap metal music genre. The band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has sold 40 million records worldwide.

Limp Bizkit will join the multi-genre music festival along with artists from Indonesia’s neighboring countries, such as Zee Avi (Malaysia) and Phum Viphurit (Thailand). Local acts include Sheila on 7, Naif, Jason Ranti, Seringai, Danilla, The SIGIT, Dipha Barus and Padi Reborn.     

Founded in 2002, Soundrenaline is entering its 16th year with "The Soul of Expression” as the theme. Along with musical performances, the festival will also feature musical collaborations and artwork. For this year’s event, Jakarta-based art collective ruangrupa will present local contemporary art at the Creator Area.

Pre-sale tickets are still available on the festival’s official website for Rp 300,000 (US$20.7). (wng)
