Actress Maudy Ayunda will soon release a series of children’s books that she first developed 10 years ago.

Maudy said the idea for the series came up during a discussion with her representatives at Bentang Kids, which published her first book, Dear Tomorrow.

“I told my publisher that I have always loved writing. They began reading my writing from when I was little and proposed to publish them into books,” Maudy said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

She added that the series would comprise four books, with the first one released early next year.

Maudy hopes that they will encourage children to read.

“The books will be bilingual [...] so children will be able to learn both Indonesian and English,” Maudy said.
