Jakarta’s Hotel Mulia Senayan is one of the 60 restaurants featured, represented by Orient8 that serves French and Pan Asian cuisine.
This year will mark Orient8’s third participation in Goût de France, with a specially crafted menu highlighting authentic French dishes from March 21 to 28 for lunch and dinner.

According to a statement from Hotel Mulia Senayan, the executive French chef of the establishment aims to promote better understanding of French cultural identity and its culinary diversity by utilizing a range of ingredients such as sea urchin, duck liver, caviar, truffle and gold leaf.
There would be two types of set menu, namely bistro and fine dining. The former leans more to a touch of comfort food, while the latter offers more sophisticated and modern tastes and presentation.
Mousse d’oursin, topped with caviar and fouille d’or is a warm appetizer for the fine-dining menu, for instance. Meanwhile, filet mignon de boeuf, foie gras and jus Rossini is the main course.
Those who prefer combining their own menu, however, may find the most suitable choices from the a la carte menu. (mut)
