elcoming Indonesia’s Independence Day on Aug. 17, Starbucks Indonesia is relaunching its “Ayo ke Museum” (Let’s Go to the Museum) campaign from Aug. 15 to Oct. 31.

Held in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage and Museum Preservation Directorate, the Culture Directorate General and the Education and Culture Ministry, the campaign aims to support cultural preservation in Indonesia by inviting the public to get to know more about the nation's culture and history.
During the period, customers are entitled to two museum tickets by buying a product on any Thursday using a Starbucks Card. Customers can visit any of the Starbucks stores in 13 cities in Indonesia, namely Greater Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Surakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Medan, Makassar, Lombok, Palembang, Pontianak and Lampung.

The museums include the National Museum and Basoeki Abdullah Museum in Jakarta; the Sangiran Museum in Surakarta, Central Java; the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum in Palembang, South Sumatra; and the East Nusa Tenggara Museum in Lombok, East Nusa Tenggara.
Andrea Siahaan of Starbucks Indonesia said, “To celebrate Museum Day on Oct. 12, Starbucks employees will invite 500 underprivileged children in 13 cities to visit the museums.” (ran/wng)
