fter previously reporting a millennial couple in West Sumatra who included mutual funds as a dowry at their wedding ceremony, recently a man from East Java has also given his bride-to-be a unique dowry of PC gaming hardware.

On Sunday, various components of PC gaming hardware were part of seserahan (wedding gift packages) prepared by Ervan Pratama, who hails from Surabaya, when he came to the house of his girlfriend, Tiara, for lamaran (marriage proposal).

"[The hardware] was requested by my [bride-to-be] and myself," Ervan told KompasTekno on Monday.

Among the items, which in total was worth more than Rp 10 million (US$701), were a Gigabyte Aorus Elite B450M motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT VGA and Corsair HX750 power supply.

Additionally, Ervan, who enjoys playing Battlefield video games, said that he had given a few other PC components to his significant other, such as casing, a CPU, RAM and SSD.

"Perhaps after we come home from work and are tired, we can refresh by watching movies or playing games together," he said, adding that Tiara was also fond of playing video games.

According to Ervan, their parents fully supported the unique seserahan as they understood their hobby. "I don't care what people say; my only wish is to make her happy." (ran/kes)
