Superorganism rocked the main stage of the festival with their quirky costumes, choreography and props.
ransatlantic pop group Superorganism performed for the first time in Indonesia on Sunday at Hodgepodge Superfest 2019 in Ancol, North Jakarta.
The group, consisting of lead vocalist Orono Noguchi, guitarist Harry, synths player Emily and drummer Tucan, as well as backing vocalists B, Ruby, and Soul, rocked the main stage of the festival with their quirky costumes, choreography and props.
Wearing capes and sunglasses, the band started their set with the “SPRORGNSM” song for their screaming fans, followed with “It’s All Good”, “Night Time”, “Relax” and “Nobody Cares” from their debut album released in 2018.
In the middle of the set, Noguci said, “I can’t believe it’s our last show of the tour! Now we have to buy our own food, guys.”
After hit singles “Prawn Song” and “Nai’s March”, Noguchi announced the next song.

“[This] is called ‘Congratulations’; it’s for us who did this tour!” she said. “We’ve been playing this set for two years and we won’t be playing it again after tonight.”
They continued with “Hello Me + You”, the song they contributed to The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) soundtrack.
Members of Superorganism come from the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. They met online through music forums and by listening to each other’s previous projects.
In 2015, they found out that most of them lived in London and then they decided to form a musical project.
Hodgepodge Superfest 2019 concluded after two days of music on Saturday and Sunday. The festival was headlined by emo band The Used and rap metal supergroup Prophets of Rage. (wng)
