NARS Cosmetics opens first Indonesian outlet in Jakarta

Popular cosmetics and skin care company NARS Cosmetics officially launched its first retail store in Indonesia on Thursday.
Located at Senayan City shopping mall in Central Jakarta, the 88 square meter retail store reportedly is the biggest in Southeast Asia.
According to a statement, the brand's modern facilities and opulent design are the result of a collaborative effort between the company's founder and creative director Francois Nars and New York-based design firm Baron & Baron.

Aside from high-gloss white Corian display tables where the products are displayed, the store also features a special area for face and lips and a 18 sq m semi-private area equipped with display tables and sofas for consultation sessions, workshops and other events.
Established in 1994 by Francois Nars, a makeup artist and photographer, NARS Cosmetics is known for its bold colors as it aims to embrace each person's uniqueness and self-expression. The brand was acquired by Japanese multinational personal care company Shiseido in 2000. (kes)
