fashion designer and acquaintance of actress Erika Sawajiri was arrested Tuesday for allegedly possessing the synthetic drug MDMA, investigative sources said.
The arrest of the man in his 30s follows that of 33-year-old Sawajiri earlier this month, who has admitted to possessing MDMA and told investigators that she had acquired the drug at a nightclub event a few weeks earlier.

The police found two capsules containing powder with traces of MDMA when they searched her home in Tokyo on Nov. 16 right after she returned from a night out at a club in the Shibuya shopping and nightlife district. The actress was arrested later that day.
The police are analyzing data from a confiscated mobile phone to determine how she obtained the MDMA.
Sawajiri has admitted to also using marijuana, LSD, and cocaine, according to the police. But the actress has tested negative in a urine test for MDMA and other illegal drugs.
