Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, a new and advanced version of a once-popular thin flip model.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, a full-sized smartphone that folds to fit small pockets, was rolled out following Samsung’s success of the Galaxy Fold.
For many phone enthusiasts, flip phones, also known as “clamshell phones” are certainly not new. They were very popular in the early to mid-2000s, but then experienced a decline in popularity.
It was not until 2019 that flip phones regained popularity when the Samsung Galaxy Fold and other models from other brands entered the market as they continued to explore innovative flip smartphones with more flexible screens that could bend and warp.
Now you can enjoy the greater advantages of the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G thanks to Samsung’s relentless innovations.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is ultra-compact when folded, yet unfolds to the size of a conventional smartphone. The device’s design offers impressive one-handed functionality that is also fashionable.
Aside from visual updates, Samsung also tried to give a sense of softness when holding the device by focusing on the smallest of details such as the shape and size of the device and many other factors.
With the folding screen concept, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G can be folded to a smaller size. The super AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting diodes) display on the cover screen is 1.9 inches. Its dimensions when unfolded are 167.3 mm (6.59 inches) in length, 73.6 mm (2.9 inches) in height, and 7.2 mm (0.28 inches) in width. When folded, the device becomes slimmer and takes up less space. It measures 4.2 inches, fitting easily into your pockets with room to spare. With Dynamic AMOLED 2X, a new generation of AMOLED displays, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G’s main screen excels in color, HDR and brightness.
The device’s hideaway hinge utilizes CAM technology that allows for stable folding. The strong hinge enables the device to open in every corner. This way, the gadget allows you to use it in every mode such as the sitting mode like a laptop.
The 1.4 inch-Cover Screen is excellent for taking selfie pictures. It enables you to take a quick shout or take selfies with the dual rear camera without having to unfold your smartphone. Just hit the volume button on the side to trigger the shutter and the Cover Screen will give you the preview.
On the cover display, you can also check your notifications by swiping the large cover screen without opening the device. Swipe left for widgets, swipe down to get quick settings and swipe up to use Samsung Pay, which is available only in several countries. If you want more details, you can open the app through the notification.
The screen and camera module are combined into a single black area, which gives the device a simpler look. To further satisfy your selfie desire, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G adopts a camera system comprising three total cameras: the dual rear camera on the front cover, with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and 12MP wide-angle camera; and a 10MP front camera on the main screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G also lets users take hands-free selfies with its Flex Mode feature. With the mode, users can open the device up to 90 degrees and place it on a flat surface to take photos using a timer. This way, you do not need to bring a tripod every time you want to take a photo from a distance.
With Flex Mode, the device can support your daily productivity. For example, you can use it to attend a virtual meeting on the upper screen above and check notes on the space below.
What is more, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G has a multitasking feature that enables you to do two or three things at once. It has adjustable screen-split capabilities, whether multitasking in either landscape or portrait mode, giving you even more flexibility. Its advanced AP and RAM combination is eased by Active Window and Taskbar.
To ensure your multitasking runs smoothly, the Galaxy Z Flip3 is powered by Snapdragon 888, 12 GB of RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage and a 3,300mAh battery. You can also find 128GB as an option.
According to Samsung, foldable tech can reduce battery consumption. It provides between four and five hours of screen time between charges.
Stereo sound
What is novel in the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G?
Scrutinizing the device, users can find that quality stereo sound stands out in the gadget, which answers a lingering question of whether a mobile phone can come with quality stereo sound.

The hinge is protected by the lightweight and strong Armor Aluminum Frame. It is no wonder that scratches and damage are no match for this device.
Attention to detail was not only given to the software and hardware of the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. Samsung also gave careful consideration to the colors and cases of the device.
