Gaining customer trust for its quality products, Mowilex wins Top Brand Award

onsistency in creating innovations has earned PT Mowilex Indonesia, a leading producer of premium paints and coatings, a Top Brand Award, a trusted brand index based on intensive research.
PT Mowilex Indonesia won the award in the category of exterior paints following a survey conducted in 15 big cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung in West Java, Surabaya in East Java, Denpasar in Bali, Medan in North Sumatra, Makassar in South Sulawesi and Balikpapan in East Kalimantan.
As many as 12,640 consumers contributed to the survey, with 2,000 respondents in each category.
This latest award adds to Mowilex’s impressive collection of prizes garnered since its establishment in Indonesia in 1970.
The premium paint brand’s impactful innovations include the company’s initiative to promote environmentally friendly wood and metal paint products, followed by a voluntary recall of wood and metal paints with lead content above 90 parts per million (ppm). Wood and metal paints with lead content above 90 ppm are only found in particular colors.
This was followed up with a wood and metal paints product replacement program for stores throughout Indonesia through the campaign Mowilex Pasti Aman (Mowilex Is Always Safe), which runs from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31.
Under this program, stores are allowed to exchange their stock of particular colors of old Mowilex wood and metal paints produced before 2019 with new Mowilex wood and metal paints products that are environmentally friendly.
The redemption process is free for sellers and distributors, who can visit mowilexpastiaman.mowilex.com to find out more information and to fill in the form to exchange products.
The initiative has been fruitful for the company, which is evident from its achievements in the form of national-scale awards and consumers’ appreciation.
Mowilex president director Niko Safavi conveyed his gratitude to consumers for their show of appreciation toward the company.
“The Top Brand Award in the category of exterior paint is a form of customer loyalty – customers who have appreciated our work for decades,” Niko said in Jakarta on Sept. 17.
At the same occasion, Mowilex chief marketing officer Anna Yesito Wibowo said the Top Brand Award was proof that consumers recognized the quality of Mowilex’s exterior paint products.
She added that Mowilex produced high-quality leak-proof paint. As a water-based paint, Mowilex’s exterior paint product has also been proven to have strong adhesion, elasticity, resistance to extreme weather and an optimal sealing capacity that is made to suit the tropical climate of Indonesia.
Mowilex Weathercoat Supreme as the latest innovation of the company’s range of exterior paints offers the longest warranty of up to 18 years.
“Although we are very grateful for this award, we will not stop creating innovations. We will continue to strive to be the paint of choice for the people who consistently develop quality products,” said Anna.
Mowilex offers a variety of options from its exterior paint line, such as Mowilex Weathercoat, Weathercoat Supreme, Mowilex Waterproof WP02 and all variants of Mowilex Precoat base paints, which fulfill various needs of consumers.
These products also have a low volatile organic compound (VOC) limit, which is set at 40 grams per liter (g/L), 20 percent lower than the limit mandated by the State of California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District in the United States.
