The government has said it will accelerate the development of tourism facilities in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, to attract more visitors. Labuan Bajo is among tourist destinations dubbed the 10 "new Balis". All 10 destinations are considered priorities for infrastructure development, with projects in Labuan Bajo, Toba Lake in North Sumatra, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java having been accelerated for completion in 2020.
