MBON, Maluku: Police have seized one of three speedboats used in a fatal drive-by shooting of an employee of state-run TVRI TV network in Haruku Island district, Central Maluku.

"We have seized the boat in Kailolo village. But we are still hunting for the suspects and the two other boats," Maluku Police Spokesman Adj. Snr. Comr. Johanis Huwae said Wednesday.

He said the suspects had used high-powered rifles, including an SKS, MK3 and an AK47.

"The guns have been identified from casings found at the scene and based on the testimonies of several witnesses."

The suspects, driving a speed boat, shot Josal Latuamury, a resident of Pelaw village, Haruku Island district who was in another speedboat, on Jan. 24.
