“During my leisure time I mostly stay at home because Jakarta is way too hectic and always occupied with traffic. Every time I leave my house I see traffic. Besides, I live in Bintaro, which is quite far from the city.
When I was younger I used my leisure time to go out a lot. I went partying and hung out with friends until dawn.
As I get older I think staying at home makes me happier because I can see my sister and play with my two dogs. Those dogs have kept me very happy.
My dogs are a Yorkshire terrier and Scottish terrier. No matter how busy someone is you have to make time to play and take a walk with your dogs because it’s required if you have dogs.
I usually start work in the afternoon, so after waking up I take them on a walk near our house. We live next to a park so we just go straight to the park. My father will take them out again in the afternoon.
If I get home not too late in the evening I will walk around with them again, but if I get home very late I’ll just play with them a little while and go to sleep with them.
My two dogs, Michele and Spring, have to sleep in my room on my bed next to me. Sleeping together with the dogs is perfectly okay in our family because all of us are crazy about them.
Sometimes we have little arguments about who will get a turn to sleep with the dogs. If my sister asks to sleep with Spring one night then the next day will be my turn.
When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time going to courses. I studied piano, English and school subjects. My days were full of activities from Monday to Saturday.
I am glad to have the benefit of learning the language early. My mother also oftensigned me up for drawing competitions because I showed an interest in it.
To date, I still like drawing but I am not much into music. Our family likes to cook together. We often cook European food because it’s very simple.
I personally think it’s more difficult to cook Indonesian food. Our family’s favorites are pasta and
eggplant mozzarella.
I am good at cooking the latter while my sister is very good at cooking Italian pasta. She does not make the pasta herself but uses instant pasta. It would be too much to do if we made homemade pasta.
So, when I have free time, I stay at home, watch DVDs, cook, play with our dogs and chat with my family.”
