AKARTA: A minister has confirmed that singer Mayangsari has officially tied the knot with Bambang Trihatmodjo, the son of former President Soeharto, last Monday.

“That is right… I myself was the penghulu [minister],” T.B. Zamroni, head of the Kebayoran Lama Religious Affairs Office, said Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.

The couple was married at 11 a.m. on Monday. They filed for the official marriage document three weeks ago, he added.

“We then requested documents that were lacking. A week after, the documents were announced as complete on July 8, 2011,” Zamroni said.

Bambang and Mayangsari had a siri (unregistered) marriage, reportedly begun in 2000. Bambang divorced his former wife Halimah Agustina Kamil last year.
