(JP/R. Berto Wedhatama)Singer Titi DJ performed on Friday at a concert organized by the Grand Theater at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

She said she was invited by the theater to perform there.

“The management of the Grand Theater said I am the first female singer from Asia to have performed there. I was so surprised but happy,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.

Titi also shared the stage with a trio that she set up called Darajana. She performed some of her own songs, including “Sang Dewi”, and also performed “Gangnam Style”.

“Because the audience did not understand Indonesian, I told them briefly about the songs before I sang them. Some Indonesian audience members sang along with me during the show,” Titi said.
