M

usic composer Dwiki Dharmawan and singer Ita Purnamasari have released a spiritual album, Menembus Batas (Through the Limits).

The lyrics of their first single, entitled 'Zikir Tak Putus-putusnya' (Endless Zikir), is taken from the poetry of Taufiq Ismail.

'I've learned about the history of national heroes, like Sultan Iskandar Muda and Fatahillah, and they did endless zikir ' which is amazing. Prayer and struggle are inseparable,' Dwiki was quoted by kapanlagi.com as saying on Thursday.

He added that through the album, they tried to convey a message that life must be followed through struggle and with God.

Ita said they intentionally named it a spiritual album so that it could be heard and sung anytime, not only
during Ramadhan.
