Widely known through her happy and cheerful persona as a TV presenter, Ayu Dewi revealed how faith plays an important role in her life.

'€œI'€™m always busiest during the weekend. I'€™m one of the hosts of a live music show that airs on Saturday morning, so
my work schedule basically revolves around that.

Everything else, like photo shoots and off-air work, is done on weekdays.

Thankfully I have more time to relax now that it is Ramadhan. My work schedule isn'€™t as busy as it usually is so I can focus more of my time on taking care of my daughter, Aqilah.

She just started school and she now has her own passport. She recently turned four-months-old and we have people from a special baby school to come to our house to help trigger and sharpen her motor and sensory nerves.

They do stuff like eye tracking and things that will help her improve her sense of touch from such an early age.

I don'€™t get out of the house much these days other than for work or to have lunch with friends.

Before I had a baby I used to go to the salon to relax and unwind. I love taking care of my body and also being pampered while doing so.

This habit didn'€™t exactly stop after I gave birth as I can have the salon come to my house. Instead of having to go there, they come to you and give you manicures, pedicures and everything else in the comfort of your own home.

People might not expect but I'€™m quite fearful. Behind the cheerfulness and the excitement that I always project, I'€™m really fearful of things, especially of sin.

People always do this thing where they go out and have a '€œclosing party'€ before Ramadhan, meaning they go out and party one last time before the fasting month begins and they stop drinking for a month.

I'€™ve always been afraid of these kind of things because people aren'€™t aware that once we consume alcohol, our prayers will not be accepted for the next 40 days.

If we go out and have one of these closing parties, then all the prayers and fasting during Ramadhan will be for nothing.

I'€™m extremely afraid of disappointing God. I feel that if I ever disappoint him, he will not watch over me in life. That thought alone terrifies me.

I love beaches. I liked Phuket a lot but now I find Bali to be more interesting. Perhaps its because people know me and they always call my name wherever I go. I love going to the beach and playing a game of volleyball and such, but my husband doesn'€™t.

We went to Bali a few months ago while I was pregnant and it was funny because all he wanted to do was stay in the shade. It'€™s what they call the opposites of love.

Now that I have a family, my main goal is to have a harmonious family. And as for my job, my mind is set on having
a more successful career.'€
