he local airport authoritiesin Gorontalo said that up until now, they had failed to move the Lion Airaircraft that got stranded at the Jalaludin airport, after skidding down therunway due to the lack of necessary tools needed.

'€œWe have been evacuating the aircraft since Wednesday but to no avail due to the lack of required tools,'€ airport'€™s briefing unit head Ray Latjando said Thursday night.

He said earlier the authorities had attempted to move the aircraft by using an excavator but it simply didn'€™t work.

In order to not disrupt traffic, he went on; the local airport authorities had allowed smaller planes to depart from the airport.

The Lion Air airplane had to cancel its take off after its back wheel hit a cow. Two of its passengers had broken their legs because they jumped out of the plane once it stopped.(dic)
