To all my friends with jobs as medical workers where the patients need your care and help; my friends in the military who were deployed to remote areas; my policemen friends who always stay alert during the peak seasons; my driver friends with passengers who count on your skill and patience, may Idul Fitri 1434 H bring peace and happiness to you all.

Dear friends at The Jakarta Post and all of you who read this: apart from wishing you a happy, peaceful holiday full of joy and bliss, I'd also like to say that I sincerely and fervently repent of having said, written and done things that really did offend!
So, herewith, I offer you my heartiest minal aidin wal faizin, in the hope that you will pardon me for all that's known as 'sin'.
Also, if we can think of others who have wronged us in the past with only love and understanding, then the bad feelings won't last.
If we can meet those who caused us grief and loss in days gone by with true forgiveness in our hearts and a warm welcome in our 'Hi!', then this will be a real step, then, to attain a higher path to salvation.
May Allah bless all of us ' in the world and in this nation.

This is certainly my very best chance to extend my most humble greetings to the children and
grandchildren of those farmers who heroically supported us, the freedom fighters, during the guerrilla war in 1945.
Please understand that without your parents' and/or grandparents' providing of food and shelter then we couldn't have carried out our task.
Again, thank you!

Idul Fitri, or Lebaran, is always awaited by Muslims throughout the world.
It is the day that marks the end of a full month of worship, a month which is full of blessing and forgiveness from Allah.
Family members gather, and we share gifts and offer mutual greetings and congratulations amid the solemn Takbir.
Happy Idul Fitri to all relatives and friends in Indonesia, and to all Muslims around the word: Minal aidin wal faidzin!

Happy Idul Fitri 1434 H. I apologize if my comments hurt anyone.
I wish for Indonesia to become a better country to live in, one in which leaders keep their amanah (mandate).

I just want to remind the Islam Defenders Front (FPI) that Muhammad Rasullulah SAW always displayed a gentle and tender attitude, which all we Muslims have to follow, especially during the upcoming Idul Fitri (back to square one, more or less like a baby again with no sin).

In the absence of domestic helpers
Jakartans left without domestic helpers either do the housework themselves, check into a hotel or hire temporary help and pay a higher salary. How about you?
