The General Elections Commission (KPU) Bogor announced through an
open recapitulation meeting that Bima Arya Sugiarto-Usmar Hariman secured
the most votes ' 132,835 ' in the Bogor mayoral elections.
Kompas.com reported that Ahmad Ru'yat and Aim Halim ticket came second with 131,080 votes, Dodi Rosadi- Untung Waryono came in third with 67,715 votes, forth position was secured by the independent ticket of Syaiful Anwar-Muztahidin Al Ayubi, with 43,448 votes, and finally Firman Sidik Galim-Gartono, also independent candidates, secured 25,793 votes.
The popularity of Bima Arya Sugiarto, a political scholar who entered politics when he joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) several years ago, is attributed to his clean image. (apt/dic)
