Pop queen Krisdayanti is ready to return to the stage with her new album, Persembahan Ratu Cinta (Gift from the Queen of Love), a compilation of her hit songs.

The album comprises two new tracks '€” '€œRatu Cinta'€ (Queen of Love) and '€œBertubi-Tubi'€ (Again and Again), written by Melly Goeslaw and arranged by Anto Hoed '€” and 14 of her previous hits since the beginning of her career in mid-1990s.

'€œThis is my first '€˜the best of'€™ album after all these years in the music industry,'€ said the 38-year-old in an interview with the media at her South Jakarta house.

The album also marks Krisdayanti'€™s re-collaboration with Warner Music Indonesia. Her last album with Warner, Krisdayanti, was released in 2007. Afterward, she resigned from Warner and joined other labels, such as Royal Prima Musikindo and Le Moesiek Revole.

Within the last couple of years, Krisdayanti took time out of the industry to focus on her two toddlers, 2-year-old Ariannha Amora Lemos and 11-month-old Kellen Alexander Lemos, from her second marriage with Raul Lemos. From her previous marriage with singer-songwriter Anang Hermansyah, she has two other children, Titania Aurelie Nurhermansyah, 15, and Azriel Akbar Hermansyah, 13.

Krisdayanti did not release an album during her time off, only recording a single, '€œPernah Denganmu'€ (Once With You) '€” a song by Bebi Romeo that featured on the songwriter'€™s Bebi Romeo Mega Hits album last year.

'€œThis is simply an album aimed at refreshing people'€™s minds so they remember my songs again '€” hopefully, it could be a bridge to my future albums,'€ added the singer, who recorded the ballad '€œBertubi-Tubi'€ when she was 8-months pregnant and recorded the upbeat '€œRatu Cinta'€ a month after giving birth to Kellen.

The singer expressed her excitement in singing the upbeat piece '€” although it means that she has to dance while performing it.

'€œI know I'€™m not that young now, but I'€™m an energetic person,'€ said the pop star, who has released 11 albums as a soloist as well as eight duet albums with Anang and Malaysian pop star Siti Nurhaliza.

Krisdayanti has gone through ups and downs during her 17-year career in the country'€™s music industry.

Looking ahead, she puts her family before everything, with the album also a show of support from her family. '€œIf I'€™m too ambitious to set up certain goals [like I did before], I'€™ll feel like I'€™m neglecting my family.'€

Persembahan Ratu Cinta features her popular songs, like '€œPerasaan'€ (Feeling), '€œMahadaya Cinta'€ (Mighty Love), '€œPilihlah Aku'€ (Choose Me) and '€œYang Ku Mau'€ (What I Want).

'€œPerasaan'€ may not yet be as influential as her other, older songs on the album, but Krisdayanti admitted it was her favorite track.

'€œI don'€™t know. I just can'€™t figure out it why I can sing that song [written] by Dewiq in such manner '€“ but I really, really love it,'€ she said.
