ndonesian Wushu athletes added two more golds in Naypyidaw on Monday while Indonesia's soccer team won 1-0 in its first group match against Cambodia at Thuwunna Stadium, in Yangoon, Myanmar.
Achmad Hulaefi grabbed gold in the men's daoshu (broadsword) event after collecting a total score of 9.70, outscoring Vietnam's Manh Quyen Nguyen, who seized silver with 9.68 and Malaysia's Say Yoke Ng who took bronze with 9.67 at Wunna Theikdi stadium.
Juwita Niza Wasni, who bagged bronze in the nandao (southern sword) event on Sunday, was able to top the nangun (southern staff) event, outplaying compatriot Ivana Ardelia Irmanto, who grabbed silver and Malaysia's Diana Bong Siong Lin who clinched bronze.
Thalia Lovita Sosrodojo grabbed her second bronze medal in the women's quiangshu (stick) event, which was topped by Malaysia's Eyin Phoon and followed by Vietnam's Thuy Vi Duong.
Monday's result has put Indonesia in the third position of the medal tally with four golds, four silvers and six bronze.
Host Myanmar continues to dominate the 27th edition of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) with 13 golds, three silvers and six bronze, followed by Vietnam with six golds, three silvers and five bronze.
At Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, Yandi Sofyan Munawar scored Indonesia's only goal at the 52nd minute. It was Indonesia's first match in group B along with host Myanmar, Thailand and Timor Leste.
In previous group matches, Myanmar crushed Cambodia 3-0 while Thailand won 3-1 over Timor Leste.
Indonesia will go up against Thailand on Thursday, a day after the official opening ceremony of the biennial multisport event, which is expected to draw 30,000 people, including the heads of state of the eleven participating countries.
Myanmar previously hosted the Games in 1961 and 1969 in its former capital of Yangon.
This year's 27th SEA Games will feature 33 sports with 460 gold medals up for grabs.
