housands of Twitter users across the archipelago sent out birthday wishes to Gerindra Party chief patron and defeated presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto on Friday as he turned 63.
Many twitter users said they hoped Prabowo was elected Indonesia's eighth president in 2019.
"Happy birthday general @Prabowo08. [We hope] you continue to fight for Indonesia. We are waiting for you to lead Indonesia," said @dionpokpokcoy, as quoted by kompas.com.
"Happy birthday Pak @Prabowo08. Please monitor the new government for the sake of the nation," said @MRiannurPrima.
Prabowo met with president-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo on his 63rd birthday at his home in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. (alz)
